This phase continues the established assessment rate of 17 cents per $100 valuation. A public hearing is scheduled for July 20th, 2026, to consider levying assessments for this phase. This is a procedural step to continue infrastructure development within the district.
Wauxahatchee Approves Historic Street Signs for Freedman's Town
The council approved a resolution to support special street name sign markers for historic Freedman's Town. This initiative aims to enhance the historic nature of the community on the east side of the city by adding traditional sign blades to 11 identified intersections. The cost is estimated at $400, using standard sign blanks, and is covered by the operational budget, as many signs already need replacement. The resolution passed unanimously.
Wauxahatchee City Council Convenes Executive Session; Concludes Meeting
