Mayor Encourages Voting and Promotes America 250 Celebration
Mayor Lejeune reminded residents about the upcoming election day runoffs and encouraged everyone to vote. He also promoted the city's semi-quincentennial celebration, America 250, scheduled for June 26th at the Civic Center area, featuring events starting at 4 p.m., including a free concert by the Alabama National Guard band at 6 p.m.

The City Council approved the publication and set a public hearing for July 20, 2026, concerning a zoning amendment for DAC Investments LLC at 805 Randall Avenue. The property is located northeast of the intersection of Randall Avenue and Main Street. A motion to approve the publication and set the hearing was made, seconded, and carried.
Daphne City Council Adopts Ordinance for Zoning District Map Revisions
The City Council adopted Ordinance 2026-17, which revises the zoning district map within the City of Daphne's land use and development ordinance. The readings of the ordinance were waived, and a motion to adopt was made, seconded, and carried.
Daphne City Council Adopts Ordinance to Confirm Annexation of Property Near CR 64 and AL 181
The City Council held a public hearing and subsequently adopted Ordinance 2026-18, which ratifies, confirms, and reaffirms the annexation of property located northwest of the intersection of County Road 64 and Alabama Highway 181. This action addresses a previous annexation ordinance from April, where a consent petition was found to be missing one entity's name. The ordinance clarifies title and records by confirming the joinder and ratification from all property owners, including Joseph A. Allegri Jr. Properties 1 LLC, Joseph A. Allegri Jr. Properties 2 LLC, and Jerry and Louise Bolavecki Senior Family Limited Partnership. A resident spoke in support of the annexation, commending the city leaders for reducing the density of the development and preserving the area's quality of life.
Daphne City Services to Close for Juneteenth Recognition
Mayor Lejeune announced that City of Daphne services will be closed on Friday in recognition of Juneteenth. City Hall and all city services will be unavailable on that day.
