City Council Considers 'Ally Connect' App to Boost Police Mental Health Services

The trial phase has shown promising engagement, and the city is considering its integration with existing resources and potential expansion to other public safety departments. The proposed funding for the first year, including CAD integration, is approximately $98,000, with subsequent annual costs of $83,000 for the police department. Expansion to fire and sheriff departments would increase initial costs to $199,000 for the first year, followed by $172,000 annually for four years.
