Village Board Approves Multiple Contracts and Agreements
The Village Board considered several ordinances for approval as part of the consent agenda. These included a license agreement with Z Fiber Texas LLC for fiber optic cable access, a contract award to Everlast Blacktop for concrete apron repair at the Public Safety Building, and an agreement with Engineering Enterprises for water main replacement design services. Other approved contracts were with Safe Step LLC for saw cut repairs, Chicagoland Paving Incorporated/Walsh Construction for road work, Prado and Daly Studios for exterior column restoration of the White House, and agreements related to school resource officers and a police vehicle purchase. Additionally, Baxter and Woodman will provide consulting engineering services for a water and sewer rate study.
Barrington Welcomes New Firefighter Paramedic Austin Krummett
The Village of Barrington officially welcomed Austin Krummett as a new firefighter paramedic. Chief Kincaid presented Krummett, highlighting the recent increase in fire department staffing approved by the Board of Trustees. This increase is seen as a significant milestone to strengthen emergency response capabilities and meet the growing needs of residents, businesses, and visitors due to rising call volumes. Krummett brings experience from the Richmond Fire District and a background in drafting and design, and is a nationally registered paramedic and certified firefighter pursuing further education.

The Village Board reviewed and approved the warrant list for June 22nd, 2026, which covered payroll and expenses for all funds. Barrington Congratulates State Champion Mia Serwa
The Village of Barrington celebrated Mia Serwa's achievement as the Illinois High School Association Girls 3A State Track and Field Champion in the 3200 meter race. Serwa, a junior at Barrington High School, set a new state record with a time of 9 minutes, 44.16 seconds, which is also the second-fastest time in the United States. She won the race by over 25 seconds. The village board passed a proclamation congratulating her on her successful season and three state championships, wishing her well for the upcoming season.
