City of St. Peter Relocates City Hall to New Civic Way Facility
The City of St. Peter is relocating its City Hall operations from 227 South Front Street to a new facility on Civic Way, formerly the Scholarship America location. The move is occurring in phases over three weeks, starting with the Police Department and MRBT, followed by Community Development and Finance, and concluding with Administration. This relocation is part of a long-range plan to provide better community service, improve efficiency, and offer a more modern space for employees and public meetings. The new facility will offer enhanced privacy for victims, increased capacity for Minnesota Valley Transit (MVRT) buses, and will be the new location for city council and school board meetings, though exact dates are pending. The existing facility, in use since 1965, lacks adequate space and modern requirements.
