The city is accepting ownership, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure completed in the Bradley subdivision from HEDCO. This infrastructure is a sewer line extension located behind the brick plant on Morris Street. The sewer line extends from a line on Royal Bricks property and serves the block, with the potential to serve other future connections. The city council approved the acceptance of this sewer line extension.
May Council Meeting Minutes Tabled Until July 7th
The city council moved to table the minutes from the May 19th council meeting until the July 7th meeting. This motion was made by Mr. Cerce and seconded by Mr. Strong. The motion passed with all in favor.
City Considers Adopting International Building Codes for Competitiveness

Other cities like Lufkin and Kilgore have adopted the 2021 codes, and adopting them will keep Henderson competitive and facilitate contractor mobility between cities.
