Liquor License Renewal for Charcoal Grill Contingent on Tax Payment

The Common Council considered a motion to grant the 2026-2027 liquor license renewal for Charcoal Grill, contingent upon the business paying all delinquent and unpaid taxes, assessments, claims, and forfeiture judgments by June 30th, 2026. The business owes taxes for 2024 and 2025. If the conditions are not met, the license will be revoked, and the business will lose its ability to sell alcohol. The motion was made by Alderman Mooney and seconded by Alderman Thompson. There was discussion regarding the business's tax delinquency and the process for issuing new liquor licenses if this one is forfeited. The motion passed with all in favor.
