Town Council Amends Personnel Policy with New Leave and Compensation Rules
The town council approved Ordinance Number 2033B, amending the personnel policy. Changes include establishing child conference leave as a new state requirement, allowing employees to be paid for working election polls without using PTO (also a new state requirement recommended by SBA), adding one floating holiday for the fire department, and clarifying language for VFIS insurance payments to the town when a fire employee is on light duty.

Sherville Police Department Ranks First in State for 'Cop on the Rooftop' Fundraising
The Sherville Police Department, in participation with the Sherville FOP Lodge 170, achieved first place in Indiana for fundraising during the annual 'Cop on the Rooftop' event. They raised just under $7,000, contributing to the state's total of approximately $72,000, all of which directly benefits the Indiana Special Olympics.
