Bolton Property Development Review Undergoes Council Scrutiny with Revisions

The council reviewed the Bolton Property Development Review, a project involving 270 residential dwelling units. The development plan includes a mix of for-sale and rental units, as well as 21 acres of open space. Revisions were made based on previous council input, including segregating rental and for-sale units, adjusting lot sizes for single-family homes, and designating a public roadway for future phases to ensure public access and public safety vehicle access. The developer, Homestead Developers, presented changes to the layout and unit types, aiming to create variety in lot sizes and accommodate different housing needs. The discussion also touched upon parking for the nature preserve and the use of materials from the historic Bolton House in the new construction. The council considered the project's compliance with an agreed judgment entry which allows for up to 300 dwelling units.
