City Council Approves Annexations of Paris and Dover Township Territories

The council also approved the annexation of approximately 35.8 acres in Dover Township, Union County, to the city of Marysville, with six yes votes and one no vote.

Marysville Gears Up for America 250 Celebrations with Numerous Community Events

The city is preparing for its America 250 kickoff event and a series of related activities from July 4th to July 12th. Planned events include fire hydrant painting by local students, installation of patriotic artwork on traffic boxes, and a display of a tree cookie from a 294-year-old oak tree at American Legion Park. The administrative report also highlighted recent community events such as Friday Night Uptown, Coffee with a Cop, Water Safety Day, and a touch-a-truck event. Current recreational activities include active volleyball leagues and a swim team, with consistent daily attendance at the city pool.
