She also praised the bike rodeo on the 10th and noted that passing R4 would not raise taxes, but rather failing to pass it would result in no improvement to streets. Separately, Kathy Chambers requested a 'no parking' sign for Forest Avenue at 27809 Lennox, citing long-standing family history in the area and difficulties exiting her driveway due to parked cars. She also mentioned improvements to Edison Park.

The City Clerk read two email comments into the record during public comment. Kevin Trabuki advocated for a two to three-lane road diet on John R. Mary Bush expressed opposition to Amazon drones and advocated for limiting allowable flight times.

He praised Kevin Wright and Lori, along with Madison Heights Citizens United and HREC, for their work on the Juneteenth celebration. He mentioned the upcoming Festival in the Park and noted he might miss it due to a medical procedure. He assured Ms. Chambers that her concerns about parking signs and trees are being looked into.
Juneteenth Recognition, Photo Contest, and Park Event Schedule Update
Councilman Gerald commended Kevin Wright's work on Juneteenth, highlighting his dedication. He mentioned a 250-year photo contest with details available on the city or library website, accepting submissions until October. He noted that there will be no park concert or activity the week before July 4th. He also humorously referred to a video shared by Attorney Sherman of his grandson dancing.
