Troy City Council Approves Zoning Board Appointments and Local Development Finance Authority Nomination

Jeff Forester and James Macaulay were approved for these appointments following a motion by Mayor Pro Tem. Both appointments and nominations passed unanimously.
Resident Proposes Enhancements to Troy's Bicycle Route Network
During public comment, Dale Murish presented proposals for improving bicycle routes in Troy. His suggestions include new signage for existing routes, directional signs to crosswalks, bike route signs on Kage Highway, updated paint striping for multi-purpose trails, and signs for bicycle traffic along Big Beaver Road and other mile roads. He also noted safety concerns such as driveways, car doors opening, and the need for trimmed bushes near sidewalks used by bicycles. Murish also recommended using asphalt for repairs and repaving sidewalks for a smoother, quieter ride, citing examples in Rochester Hills and Beach Road.
