This vehicle will replace a 2014 Ford Explorer, providing reliable transportation for essential duties and training, and is expected to be more cost-effective due to its fuel efficiency and lower maintenance needs compared to the aging vehicle. The new SUV will also be a take-home vehicle.
City Council Approves Resolution for Body Armor Grant Application
The City Council considered a resolution to authorize the Mayor to sign a grant application for the fiscal year 2027 rifle resistant body armor grant. A previous resolution had an error omitting the finance director's role in submitting reports and other grant functions, which this ratification corrects. The motion to approve with the correction passed unanimously.
