Council Member Requests Review of City's Tree Brush Policy Amid High Removal Costs
Council Member Wit raised concerns regarding the city's tree brush policy, prompted by a constituent's high quote ($8,000) for removing a large, potentially hazardous tree. She requested a review of the policy to potentially assist elderly residents or those on fixed incomes with tree removal costs, questioning the current system for brush pickup and permitting. City Manager Coral acknowledged that tree removal permits might be a surprise to some residents and that the current policy may need review.
