Sawmill Park Pollinator Pathway Signage Approved by Dedham Select Board

A grand opening for the new splash pad at Condon Park, funded by ARPA, is scheduled for June 22nd at 5 p.m., featuring a unique, 'wet event' celebration. The Planning Board will meet on June 24th to receive an update on the 'Campus at 128' project, also known as the prospective development at 128, which is currently undergoing the MEPA process.

Dedham Sustainability Committee Updates Board on Waste Reduction, Energy Savings, and Climate Initiatives

The Sustainability Advisory Committee provided an update on their focus areas: waste reduction, decarbonization and energy savings, and communication. Key initiatives include conceptualizing a 'Skip the Stuff' pilot program with Dedham Square Circle to reduce restaurant takeout waste, promoting the town's compost bin program, and exploring the MassSave EBCX program for building energy efficiency. The committee is also working towards qualifying for the Massachusetts Climate Leader Communities Program by adopting an EV-first policy and accepting the municipal decarbonization roadmap. They are also reviewing the 2020 Climate Action Resiliency Plan to identify areas for renewed focus.
