Canton Conservation Commission Denies, Then Approves Restoration Plan for 10 Reservoir Circle
The Canton Conservation Commission denied a request for a certificate of compliance for 10 Reservoir Circle due to issues with the 30-foot no-disturbed zone. The commission then approved a June 8th restoration plan to address the restoration work, allowing the applicant to proceed with restoring the no-disturbance zone. The applicant will need to return to the commission for a certificate once the work is completed.
Canton Conservation Commission Accepts Donation of 4 Acres for Natural Resource Protection
The Canton Conservation Commission moved forward to accept the donation of two parcels of land: 7 Cobblestone Lane (2.7 acres) and 8 Cobblestone Lane (1.33 acres), totaling approximately 4 acres, from the Oly Tree Trust. These properties are forested, include forested wetlands, and are within the riverfront area of Peekwood Brook. The land is landlocked and has an Algonquin easement. The commission will protect these natural resources.
Canton Conservation Commission Issues Certificate of Compliance for 15 Irving Street
The Canton Conservation Commission voted to issue a complete certificate of compliance for 15 Irving Street (SP 22-4). The project involved the construction of a new single-family dwelling, including an on-site septic system, retaining walls, water connection, grading, and stormwater management systems. The commission noted that the inspection ports were approved and the grass had grown in.
Canton Conservation Commission Awaits Response for Turnpike Street Certificate of Compliance
The Canton Conservation Commission took no action on a request for a full certificate of compliance for 738 Turnpike Street. The project involves demolition of an existing commercial building, construction of a new one, and expansion of a parking lot. The commission is awaiting responses to comments sent by the stormwater engineer, Christine, on June 18th to the contractor, applicant, and property owner.
Canton Conservation Commission Issues Order of Conditions for 3 Roberts Road Addition
The Canton Conservation Commission reviewed a Wetland Stormwater Permit application for a 318 sq ft wood frame addition with a full foundation at 3 Roberts Road. The addition is within the 100-foot buffer zone of bordering wetlands. The commission discussed the need to remove tires from the disturbed area, with the applicant agreeing to this condition as part of the order of conditions. The public hearing was closed and an order of conditions was issued.
