The project is estimated at $2 million and will be funded through capital improvement sales tax, economic development sales tax, or bonding, with a potential hookup fee model similar to a previous project to service extraterritorial land.
City Commission Approves Zoning Ordinance Amendment for Inert Landfills
The City Commission approved the second reading of a zoning ordinance amendment regarding inert landfills. The ordinance amends Title 4, establishes a definition for inert landfills, and modifies the Public Facility zoning district to include inert landfills as a conditional use. This amendment was previously presented and had its first reading approved on June 1st after a public hearing.
