Summerton Approves Wireless Infrastructure Agreement with Yuma County

This 50-year agreement is part of Yuma County's agriculture project and involves installing a 50-foot high monopole near Avenue D and Main Street. Public Works Director Rosanna Douglas provided an update on the Main Street Redevelopment Street Program. The project is scheduled to run for 120 days, concluding around October 20th. The closure will impact Main Street from Summerton Avenue to Union, a two-block stretch. A traffic control plan is in place, and community notification has been extensive.

The Summerton City Council approved the renewal of an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with Yuma County for weekend and holiday municipal court coverage. Yuma County's initial appearance master will conduct these proceedings on behalf of the city. The annual cost for this service is $691.50, which is budgeted annually.
