Advisory Committee Recommends First Street Master Plan to City Council

The Advisory Committee reviewed and recommended the final version of the First Street Master Plan to the City Council. The plan includes recommendations for parking strategies, traffic circulation, pedestrian safety, streetscape materials, parks and connectivity, and overall design character. Public feedback was largely positive, with minor adjustments made regarding walkability concerns, specifically the use of smooth concrete sidewalks and pavers in parking areas. The plan aims to preserve the historic charm of downtown while improving infrastructure and activating public spaces. A vote was taken to approve the recommendations, which passed unanimously.
