Midland Renovation Project Update: Phase 2 Underway
Public Works Director Kevin Manning provided an update on the ongoing Midland renovation project. The first phase, from Shawnee Mission Parkway to Lawrence Road, has been completed. The second and longest phase, covering Midland from Lawrence to Aug Road, is currently underway and expected to last until mid-September, weather permitting. Phase three will extend from Aug to just west of Elmridge, and phase four will complete the final section of Midland [cite: 19-30].
Agreements Approved for School Crossing Attendants and Resource Officers
The city council approved agreements for school crossing attendant services for the upcoming academic year with City Management Services.
