The properties are contiguous to the city, urban in character, and the city can provide services. The matter was referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission for a zoning recommendation. The ordinance passed.

Retirement Benefits Increased for One Police and Fire Pensioner

The City Commission adopted Order 26-100, acknowledging an increase in retirement benefits for police and firefighters not covered by the county employees retirement system. A single pensioner, governed by ordinance 87-26, will receive a 4% pension increase for fiscal year 26-27. This increase will be funded by property taxes set aside for the pension fund and potentially the general fund.

Proposal Request Number 9 revises sidewalks and dog park layout. Change Order Number 1 for the mountain bike bid package includes two modular steel bridges. These projects are funded from the project fund.
