Council Debates Permit Fee Exemptions for Non-Profits, Considers Tiered Fee Structure
The City Council discussed permit fees for tree cutting and trimming services, specifically regarding non-profit organizations. Some council members expressed concerns about non-profits potentially abusing exemptions, while others emphasized the need to support community-serving organizations. The council ultimately leaned towards a two-tier fee structure: a standard fee for for-profit entities and a reduced fee for non-profits, with definitions to be established.

The council decided to table this item indefinitely.
