City Council Approves Supplemental Budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026
The City Council reviewed and adopted Resolution No. 2026-06-15-014, which provides for a supplemental budget and makes appropriation total requirement changes for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. This resolution essentially closes out completed projects from the current fiscal year that had surplus funds, with most of the freed-up money being utilized in the 2026-2027 budget. The purpose of the supplemental budget is to ensure that appropriations exceed actual expenses, as required by Oregon state law.
County's Commons Project Requires City Approval, Update Forthcoming
The City Council was informed about the 'Commons project,' which is primarily a county project. However, the city will have some approval involvement. The county project manager is scheduled to present an update to the council in July.

The City Council adopted Resolution No. 2026-06-15-017, declaring the city's election to receive state-shared revenues. The general fund tax rate will remain at $5.5938 per thousand dollars of assessed valuation. Additionally, $3,151,578 is being levied to meet general obligation debt payments for the fiscal year beginning July 1st, 2026. This resolution authorizes the city to contact Lincoln County to collect these property taxes.
