Next Step Up Shelter Continues to Serve Community, Housing Authority Updates on Properties

Tom O'Connell provided an update on the Next Step Up Shelter, Medina County's first emergency homeless shelter. Since opening in February 2025, it has served 304 people, with over 50% from the city of Medina. The shelter accommodates pets, has helped 53 households exit into permanent housing, and averages a 33-day length of stay. The MMHA is also working on new office locations and renovations for two affordable housing properties, Lafayette and Northview Manor.
