Resident Raises Concerns Over Farnham Avenue Road Conditions; Borough Explains Paving Process

During the hearing of citizens, a resident, Lewis Necastro, brought forth concerns regarding the deteriorating condition of Farnham Avenue, particularly the prevalence of potholes. He noted that while other streets like Westminster Burns and Harrison Avenue have been paved, Farnham Avenue appears to have been overlooked in the paving schedule. Necastro described the road conditions as "like driving on the moon" with craters affecting vehicles and alignment. The Borough Manager, Mark Shrieks, explained the road paving process, noting it involves extensive planning and can take years from initial assessment to completion, often involving joint efforts and grant funding. He assured that Farnham Avenue would be assessed by the engineer and that temporary patching by the DPW could be considered.
