Finance Committee Approves 'Then and Now' Certificate for Water Facility Insurance

The Finance Committee reviewed and approved a 'then and now' certificate for a past due invoice of $36,642 for builders' risk insurance for the upper hacking water pollution control facility. The invoice was issued in 2024 but was not received by the department. Approval was needed to pay the two-year-old invoice, and a suspension of rules was requested for immediate payment.

West End TIF District Ordinance Amended and Restated

Temporary ordinance 1426 was passed, amending and restating permanent ordinance 32-25 concerning the West End TIF district. This ordinance declares the improvements to real property in the West End to be a public purpose, exempt from real property taxation, and requires annual service payments in lieu of taxes. It also describes public infrastructure improvements and establishes a public improvement tax increment equivalent fund.
