The board discussed specific targets for operational efficiency, financial transparency (GFOA scoring thresholds), grant acquisition ($100,000 annually), customer service, special events, village board and commissions, recreation, communication, partnerships, ADA website compliance (deadline extended to 2028), business district revitalization, housing diversity, and efficient building permit review (95% within 15 days). Concerns were raised about the specificity, prioritization, and aggressiveness of goals, and the need to align the strategic plan with other guiding documents like the comprehensive plan and housing study.
