Board of Trustees Approves PUD Zoning for 320 Maple Street with Conditions
The Board of Trustees considered a Planned Unit Development (PUD) zoning document application for 320 Maple Street. The applicant, JJ Investments Inc., requested approval for a site-specific development standard document for a project proposing four duplex buildings and approximately 6,000 square feet of private open space. The property is currently zoned Public with a PUD overlay. The PUD zoning document aims to establish development rules and regulations for future development on the property. Following extensive public comment and board discussion, the board voted to approve the PUD zoning document with specific conditions, including maintaining a 20% open space requirement, ensuring architectural consistency with the surrounding neighborhood, limiting building height to one story (20 feet), and requiring the site plan to return to the Planning Commission and Board of Trustees for review to ensure the intent of the PUD is met. The approval passed with a vote of four to one.
