Village Board Approves Final Development Plan for 155-135 Fingston Road Including 112 Apartments and Daycare

The Village Board of Trustees heard and approved six items related to a final development plan for properties at 155 and 135 Fingston Road. This included amending the comprehensive plan, rezoning the property to R5 general residential, approving a preliminary and final plat of subdivision to create two lots, amending the zoning ordinance to allow signage for a daycare center, approving a special use permit for a residential planned unit development and a daycare center, and approving subdivision and development agreements for both properties. The project features an adaptive reuse of an office building into 112 loft-style apartment units and a 13,600 square foot Primrose child care center. Minor changes from the preliminary plan included relocating EV charging stations, updating monument sign addresses, and adding a trash enclosure for Primrose. Public comment raised concerns about increased traffic congestion. The board found the final plan to be in substantial conformance with the preliminary plan.
