The budget aims for a structurally balanced approach and strategic use of reserves, while maintaining essential city functions and service levels.
Pulstock Aquatic and Recreation Center Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Free Weekend
Mike Taylor announced that the Pulstock Aquatic and Recreation Center is celebrating its 25th anniversary on Friday, June 19th. The celebration will include free admission to the center on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, along with various activities such as face painting, food trucks, touch-a-truck, cornhole, slip and slide, and pool activities. A concert by Josh Westerholt is scheduled for Friday evening in Canal Park.

Councilmember Blank shared that a police officer expressed gratitude for the consideration of a pay raise, acknowledging the financial pressures faced by officers. The councilmember also inquired about the age limit for the 'King of the Mountain' event at the recreation center, and was informed that while there's no age limit, participants must pass a swim test, with a minimum age of eight typically required unless the swim test is passed.
