The project was awarded to GE Roofing based on the recommendations of the Public Works Director. The discussion included details about the roof's age (29 years, exceeding its 20-year lifespan), the extent of damage, and the various bids received. GE Roofing, the original installer, was chosen for their thoroughness and comprehensive proposal. The council also discussed potential overexpenditures and how they would be managed through existing reserves and potential future council approval.
