Township Revenues Strong: Act 511 Taxes Exceed Property Taxes
Township financial director John Remy provided an update indicating strong revenue streams beyond property taxes, with anticipated collections of over $9 million from Act 511 taxes (real estate transfer, earned income, mercantile, local services, amusement, and business privilege taxes). This amount significantly exceeds the projected $5.1 million from property taxes. The township is described as punching above its weight, with great people, steady income, and unparalleled services.
Consent Agenda Approved: Includes Escrow Releases, Five Pines Golf Club Operations, and Grant for Park Trails
The board approved the consent agenda, which included several financial items: the approval of board of supervisors minutes from May 9th, 2026; escrow release number two for 1250 West Bristol Road (Toner Holmes) for $143,475; escrow release number two final for 550 Davisville Road (Davisville Hosiery Mill) for $21,122.50; approval for mobile modular temporary structures and KO catering for temporary kitchen at Five Pines Golf Club during construction; approval of professional services with Great with Transcend Finance LLC for banking RFP; and approval of resolution 2026-12 for a $250,000 GTRP grant from the Commonwealth Financing Authority for Keer Park trail reconstruction. The motion passed 5-0.
