Vero Beach Council Explores Options to Mitigate Impact of Property Tax Amendment

The city council held a special workshop meeting to discuss the potential impact of the property tax constitutional amendment on the city of Vero Beach. The amendment, if passed, would increase homestead tax exemptions, decrease the cap on assessed value increases for non-homestead properties, and limit how municipalities can spend property tax revenue.
