City Commission Agenda Features New Financial Services Director Appointment and Solid Waste Agreement Amendment

The city commission agenda included the appointment of Ms. Priscilla Moxie as Director of Financial Services, effective June 24, 2026. Additionally, Hands of Merse was added to the list of charitable entities for donation recognition. A Second Amendment to an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) with the Solid Waste Authority and the City of Tamarack for solid waste disposal and recyclable material was also discussed. This amendment provides options for participating parties to withdraw from the ILA. Option one allows withdrawal effective August 16, 2048, if a resolution is adopted prior to August 16, 2047. The amendment also references contract awards from an RFP process expected no earlier than October 1, 2027, and no later than November 15, 2027, unless extended by the board.
