City Receives Four Donations Totaling $3,650 for Community Events and Police Vehicles
The city of Plymouth has received four donations totaling $3,650. Interior Credit Union donated $1,000 for the mayor's summer of music. Beltopia LLC donated $200 for the tractor show. Oliver Ford and AK Industries each donated $1,250 for the sponsorship of police vehicles. The council is asked to approve accepting these donations with their specified terms.

Call for Improved Pedestrian Crossing at Greenway Trail and Jefferson Street
A discussion was held regarding the need for a defined pedestrian crossing, including a light, at the intersection of Jefferson Street and the Greenway Trail near the Coffee Lodge. Firefighter Heath Naid is retiring after 27.5 years of service, with his last day being Friday. The department will open applications for a full-time position to replace him. A farewell event for Naid is planned at the station on Friday.
Harrison Street Repaving and Drainage Improvements Planned
The board discussed upcoming repaving of Harrison Street from Michigan to Oak Street, which will include drainage improvements from the park to Plum Street. A specific conflict was identified at the intersection of Fifth Street and Harrison where Nipkco gas is relocating a line to accommodate drainage work. This intersection will require temporary closure for a few days. Sidewalk work will be completed from Oak to Plum Street.
