Junk Dealer's License Renewed for Blue River Diamonds After Address Mix-up
The City Council reviewed and approved a renewal application for a junk dealer's license for Blue River Diamonds, located at 210 Andover Street. The applicant, Neil Van Dam, representing Blue River Diamonds, explained that the business, a fine retail jewelry store operating at the North Shore Mall for 10 years, had missed renewal notices due to an address issue. Van Dam stated that notices were likely sent to the mall address rather than their administrative address, and he had only recently been made aware of the meeting. Councilor Daigle confirmed speaking with Van Dam and supported the renewal, characterizing it as a procedural lapse. The Council voted to approve the renewal of the junk dealer's license.
