Oakdale Gears Up for Summerfest with Detailed Schedule of Events; Ladders and Squads Event Announced

Oakdale City Council Authorizes $20 Million Bond Issuance for Infrastructure Projects and Accepts 5K Sponsorship
The Oakdale City Council adopted Resolution 2026-35, authorizing the issuance of General Obligation Improvement, Sales Tax Revenue, and Capital Improvement Bonds, Series 2026A, not to exceed $20 million. The parameters include a maximum interest rate of 4.75% and a final maturity date of February 1st, 2030. A pricing committee, comprising the City Administrator and Finance Director, will be established to award the sale, proposed for August 13th. Funds will be allocated to the 2026 street reconstruction project ($1.4 million), the police department expansion project ($11.8 million), and the city hall remodel project ($6.8 million). The council also approved Resolution 2026-32, accepting a $1,500 donation from Larry and Vicky Eberhart of the Eberhart Group with Keller Williams to sponsor the Oakdale Nature Preserve 5K.
