Joanne Jodry Appointed to Neptune City Council; Tax Collector Position Filled
The Neptune City Council appointed Joanne Jodry to fill the vacant seat on the borough council. The appointment was made via resolution 2026111, following the receipt of three names from the Neptune City Democratic Municipal Committee. Councilwoman Jodry will be sworn in at a later date and begin attending meetings in July. She is a Monmouth University professor. The council also confirmed the appointment of Michelle Narcisco as a part-time tax collector via resolution 2026115.
Part-Time Zoning Officer Appointed; Open Space Grant Application Services Authorized
The council removed and approved resolution 2026106, which confirms the appointment of Wilms as a part-time zoning officer. This resolution was previously tabled. The council also adopted resolutions 2026113 through 2026123 as a group, which included authorizing borough engineer services for the 2027 Monmouth County Open Space Grant Application.
June Declared LGBTQ+ Pride Month; Community Center Improvements Noted
The council adopted a proclamation designating June 2026 as LGBTQ+ Pride Month and directing the inclusive pride flag to be flown at the Neptune City Community Center throughout June.
