The Lincoln City Council approved a contract with Bean Brothers Landscaping for landscaping and lawn maintenance services at Hollybrook Cemetery. Lincoln City Council Approves Chick-fil-A Site Plan Amendment and Rezoning
The Lincoln City Council considered a request to rezone a property at 1904 East Main Street from planned business conditional use to planned business conditional district. The applicant, Chick-fil-A, sought to amend its site plan to restructure the parking lot for a dual-lane drive-through and add an adjacent vacant lot to manage impervious area calculations. The plan includes reducing the number of parking spaces from 52 to 48, adding two pull-through spaces, and changing some parking spaces to angled. The council also approved conditions including reworking landscaping and ensuring proper drainage. The planning board unanimously recommended approval.
Lincoln City Council Approves Speed Limit Reduction on Lithian Road, Requests State Action
The Lincoln City Council approved a resolution to reduce the speed limit on Lithian Road from the bridge to Victor Grove Church Road from 45 mph to 35 mph. This section of Lithian Road is maintained by the city. The council also requested that the state Department of Transportation (DOT) reduce the speed limit on their maintained section of Lithian Road (from the bridge to East Main) from 45 mph to 35 mph. The speed reduction is driven by increased traffic, golfer crossings, and higher traffic volumes from the industrial area.
