The Elizabeth Board of Education celebrated the retirement of two long-serving employees, Francisco Cuesta and Beth Curtis. Elizabeth Public Schools Reports on HIB Incidents and Safety Data

A public hearing was held regarding harassment, intimidation, and bullying (HIB) incidents and student safety data for the period of July 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025. During this period, 144 HIB investigations were completed, with 51 confirmed cases. The report detailed the bases for these incidents (race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.), the types of incidents (verbal, physical, electronic), and the disciplinary actions taken (suspensions, classroom changes, etc.). Training for staff on HIB reporting and prevention was also discussed.
