Annette Irwin Appointed Interim City Manager; Separation Agreement with Former City Manager Approved
The East Lansing City Council convened a special meeting on June 16th, 2026, to address personnel matters. Mayor Altman provided remarks thanking former City Manager Robert Bellman for his resignation and welcoming Annette Irwin, highlighting her experience and commitment to ensuring uninterrupted operations during the transition. Ms. Irwin addressed the council and attendees, expressing her commitment to leading the organization and working with city staff, emphasizing the dedication of public servants and her personal connection to East Lansing. She quoted Mark Hollis, stating she will use her ears before her mouth during her interim tenure.
