East Brandywine Fire Company Responds to 85 Incidents in May; New Reserve Engine Ready July 1st
The East Brandywine Fire Company responded to 85 total incidents in May, including 38 fire incidents and 47 medical incidents. Within East Brandywine Township, they responded to 14 fire incidents and 24 medical incidents. The average response was nine personnel per incident. There were no estimated fire-related damages, injuries, or fatalities. The company held four trainings, welcoming four new members, and completed rapid intervention team training. Police Department Completes Radio Transition, Reports May Activity and Training Successes
The East Brandywine Township Police Department reported the completion of its county radio transition, with all mobiles installed, portables issued, and training completed. The department participated in a walk-a-thon hosted by the BAPS Temple and provided gifts to students at Brandywine Wallace school for their fifth-grade graduation. For May, the department responded to 2,399 total events, conducting 190 investigations, 319 traffic stops, and issuing 125 citations and 54 written warnings. All personnel completed use of force training, including firearms qualification.
