Chino Valley Approves Budgets for Street Lighting and Del Sol Maintenance Districts
The Town Council approved resolutions for the statements and estimates of expenses for the Chino Valley Street Lighting Improvement Districts and the Del Sol Maintenance Improvement District for fiscal year 2026-2027. For the street lighting districts, the ad valorem tax amount is expected to decrease slightly. For the Del Sol Maintenance Improvement District, a smaller district with 25 properties, the council recommended a reduced levy of $9,487 for the upcoming year, which would require a town subsidy of approximately $5,000. This reduced levy translates to an estimated $380 tax per home. The higher previous bid of $14,000 would have resulted in an average tax of $576 per home. The council aims to find a balance between maintenance costs and homeowner equity while seeking more competitive bids for services like weed spraying, mowing, and landscape maintenance.
