Council Member Satil announced upcoming ward meetings for Ward One and Two, scheduled for the Wednesday at the end of the month at 7 PM in the council chambers. Signs for these meetings will be posted starting the following day.
Mayor Extends Condolences for Recent Tragedies; Announces Upcoming Tour and Board Openings
The Mayor asked residents to keep those involved in the B-52 crash in California and the skydiving plane crash in Butler, Missouri, in their prayers and thoughts, as 12 individuals were killed in the latter. The Mayor also announced a tour for council on Wednesday, July 29th at 10 AM, organized by Allison Garrison of Leonardo, with further details to follow. Proof of identity (birth certificate or passport) is required for entry. The Mayor also noted remaining openings on various boards and commissions, including Historical, IDA, Park Board, Personnel, Senior Citizens Coordinating Commission, and Streets.
Emergency HVAC Replacement Approved for BMAC Concession Stand
The council approved an emergency HVAC system replacement at the Fielers Choice concession stand at BMAC. The motion was made by Council Member Luther and seconded by Council Member Bazada. The measure passed with all in favor.
