Temporary Road Closure Approved for Vintage and Handmade Market on North 7th Avenue

The Board of Public Works and Safety approved a request from Next.Beach Grove to temporarily close North 7th Avenue for the Sprouted Root Vintage and Handmade Market. The closure will be from Main Street to the alley on Saturday, July 11th, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event, hosted by Rustic Root, will feature vendors selling vintage, antique, and handmade products, along with food and entertainment. The city will provide trash totes and barricades from DPW if approved.

Enviro Forensics Contract Approved for Brownfield Remediation and Grant Acquisition

The Board of Public Works and Safety approved a contract with Enviro Forensics for Brownfield work. This contract initiates a working relationship with Enviro Forensics and Western Engineering to identify and apply for grants, such as the Posey Grant and APA grants, to mitigate and make usable contaminated properties within the city. The contract is for up to $2,500 per month at a rate of $175 per hour.
