Stafford Township Adopts Ordinance Amending No Parking Schedule
Stafford Township Council adopted Ordinance 2026-21 on second reading, which supplements Chapter 201 of the Township Code concerning "Vehicles and Traffic." Specifically, the ordinance amends Section 201-20, "Schedule 1, No Parking." The ordinance was introduced, opened for public comment (none received), and then adopted with a unanimous 'Yes' vote from all council members present.
Stafford Township Recreation Department Highlights Founders Day Success, Upcoming Summer Programs, and Green Initiatives
The Recreation Department reported on several key events and programs. Founders Day celebrated the country's 250th anniversary with a parade, music, food, and fireworks, thanking participants, winners, grand marshals, and the royal court. Summer pop-up markets featuring local vendors will begin July 6th at Manahawk and Lake Park. The 42nd year of summer camp starts July 29th at Ocean Acres Community Center, offering various activities and trips, with limited spots still available. Stafford Township Construction and Zoning Report: Permits Issued, Inspections Conducted, and New Commercial Tenants Identified
The June construction activity report indicates that Stafford Township issued 131 construction permits and Eagleswood Township issued seven. The zoning department conducted 843 construction code and housing inspections, issued 107 violation letters, and received 300 complaints. Sixteen certificates of occupancy were issued in June. Additionally, three commercial tenant fit-out zoning permits were applied for: Flores on Route 72, Lamisek on Main Street, and Rojas on Main Street.
Stafford Township Honors Senior Chief Petty Officer Matthew D. Whitlow for Service and Partnership
