St. Mary's City Council Proclaims Juneteenth National Independence Day a City Holiday
The City Council of St. Mary's, Georgia, officially recognized Juneteenth National Independence Day by issuing a proclamation. The proclamation commemorates the historical significance of June 19th, 1865, when enslaved people in Texas learned of their emancipation, and acknowledges Juneteenth as Freedom Day. St. Mary's Considers Revising Enterprise Zone Ordinance for Redevelopment Incentives
