Secretary to Receive Stipend for Additional Building Department Duties Amid Staff Shortage
The Village Board approved a stipend for Tara Orlando, secretary to the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Architectural Review Board, to compensate her for additional responsibilities in the Building Department due to a temporary staff shortage. Orlando will receive a stipend of $250 per paycheck, effective June 16th, 2026. This stipend will end 30 days after a new employee fills the vacancy.
In SituForm Technologies Awarded Three-Year Contract for Sewer System Rehabilitation
The Village Board approved a contract for cured-in-place piping (CIPP), manhole rehabilitation, and sewer cleaning services. Bids were solicited, and the contract was awarded to In SituForm Technologies of Chesterfield, Missouri, for a total bid amount of $1,085,890 over three years. National Water Main Cleaning of Kearney, New Jersey, was the other bidder at $1,331,120.
