Riverdale City Adopts Modernized Logo After Council Discussion
The council discussed and approved Resolution 2026-25, adopting an updated city logo. The refresh aims to modernize the existing logo, which has been in use since 2006. The new design retains key elements like the river and the 'R' shape while incorporating mountains for clearer representation and a slightly different typeface and lockup for greater flexibility in application. An implementation plan suggests a phased approach over three years, prioritizing digital assets first. Councilmember Stevens expressed reservations about the change, preferring the older logo, while others supported the refresh for its modern look and branding potential. The motion to approve included a minor adjustment to the river's curve to better represent the 'R'.

Water fees are increased based on Weber Basin Water's rates, and garbage fees are increased due to Republic Services' rate increase. The council also discussed the impact of these increases.
