Emergency Demolition of Unsafe Shed Approved with 30-Day Delay for Owner Demolition
The council held an emergency public hearing for the demolition of a shed at the rear of the property located at 542 H Street. The shed was deemed structurally unsound and an immediate risk due to unsafe electrical conditions, deterioration, and racking on its foundation. The property owner requested to demolish the shed themselves, and the council agreed to grant the demolition request while delaying its implementation for 30 days to allow the owner to complete the work, provided all trash, debris, and inoperable vehicles are removed from the property.
